Jen [userpic]
I know, y'all hear too much about Spirit Creek

It's actually quite strange. I realised on 7 June the reason that Spirit Creek affects me so much. Every song of theirs I've heard is something I've felt. The Masquerade-not only for a wicked RP game, but also I hide me from myself, conseal the real Jen. What's Wrong With Me?-struggling with depression and suicide. Strong Inside-the desire to persevere and survive despite the shit that happens. Call the Rain-keeping things inside until you find the person who can ultimatly save you from yourself. There are many more on both CDs that can be defined as me, and it makes things better when you hear a song and you can relate to it cos you're not the only one with your feelings. I didn't realise this til after Jay and I had dropped Ken and his neice off when we were at Denny's but when I did everything suddenly made sense. After the show on Saturday when Doug had just come back out from backstage, I told him what I'd realised and he had this big smile on his face and told me that that's why he does this. Contrary to what some people who know me think, I don't like Doug just because he's an attractive man. I like Doug because he's a nice guy, he's very sweet and isn't full of himself unlike some guys in bands. Jay enjoyed himself immensly, and Mike was very impressed. It was his first time seeing them, I'm so happy he enjoyed it. We got free Jagermeister shot glasses with the Spirit Creek logo and their web address on them, so we came up with this great idea of watching Jay n Silent Bob and taking Pepsi fuck shots. In the end we decided six 2litres weren't going to be enough, so we watched MIB and took flash and shoot shots instead. It was fun as hell. I've kinda just come off of working 7 days in a row and I'd been up from noon Thursday to 1:30am Friday/Saturday morning. So now I'm slightly more than worn out....lol Luckily I have the next two days off, so I can get my sleeping straight again. Plus the weather's been unbearable again, it's seriously doing my head in, my body as well. I need to go back to England where it's neither extremely hot or extremely cold it's just pleasant and a lil rainy but I like rain. I'm going to post lyrics as usual, but this time it's for Breezie. The first time she heard this song she decided it was her, and when I listened to it, I noticed it too. It's called Broadway by one of my favourite bands Goo Goo Dolls.

Broadway is dark tonight
A little bit weaker than you used to be
Broadway is dark tonight
See the young man sitting
In the old man's bar
Waiting for his turn to die

The cowboy kills the rock star
And Friday night's gone too far
The dim light hides the years
On all the faded girls
Forgotten but not gone
You drink it off your mind
You talk about the world
Like it's somplace that you've been

You see you'd love to run home
But you know you ain't got one
'Cause you're livin' in a world
That you're best fogotten around here

Broadway is dark tonight
A little bit weaker than you used to be
Broadway is dark tonight
See the young man sitting
In the old man's bar
Waiting for his turn to die

You choke down all you anger
Forget your only son
You pray to statues when you sober up for fun
You're anger don't impress me
The world slapped in your face
It always rains like hell on the losers day parade

You see you'd love to run home
But you know you ain't got one
'Cause you're livin' in a world that you're best forgotten
And when you're thinkin' you're a joke
And nobody's gonna listen
To the one small point
I know they been missin' 'round here

Broadway is dark tonight
A little bit weaker than you used to be
Broadway is dark tonight
See the young man sitting
In the old man's bar
Waiting for his turn to die

You see you'd love to run home
But you know you ain't got one
'Cause you livin' in a world
That you're best fogotten
And if you're thinking you're a joke
And nobody's gonna listen
To the one small point
I know they been missin' round here
'Round here

Broadway is dark tonight
A little bit weaker than you used to be
Broadway is dark tonight
See the young man sitting
In the old man's bar
Waiting for his turn to die

Also another Goo Goo Dolls song that is the most "Jen" song I've ever heard in my life. Actually now that I think about it, theres another two..lol I suck. Black Balloon and Acoustic #3.

Black Balloon

Baby's black balloon makes her fly
I almost fell into that hole in your life
And you're not thinking about tomorrow
'Cause you were the same as me
But on your knees

A thousand other boys could never reach you
How could I have been the one
I saw the world spin beneath you
And scatter like ice from the spoon
That was your womb

Comin' down the world turned over
And angels fall without you there
And I go on as you get colder
Or are you someone's prayer

You know the lies they always told you
And the love you never knew
What's the things they never showed you
That swallowed the light from the sun
Inside your room

Comin' down the world turned over
And angels fall without you there
And I go on as you get colder
Or are you someone's prayer

And there's no time left for losin'
When you stand they fall

Comin' down the world turned over
And angels fall without you there
And I go on as you get colder

All because I'm
Comin' down the years turn over
And angels fall without you there
And I'll go and lead you home and
All because I'm
All because I'm
And I'll become
What you became to me

Acoustic #3

They painted up your secrets
With the lies they told to you
And the least they ever gave you
Was the most you ever knew

And I wonder where these dreams go
When the world gets in your way
What's the point in all this screaming
No one's listening anyway

Your voice is small and fading
And you hide in here unknown
And your mother loves your father
'Cause she's got nowhere to go

And she wonders where these dreams go
'Cause the world got in her way
What's the point in ever trying
Nothing changing anyway

They press their lips against you
And you love the lies they say
And I tried so hard to reach you
But your falling anyway

And you know I see right through you
'Cause the world gets in your way
What's the point in all the screaming
You're not listening anyway

Alright, enough with the lyrics and my usual stupidity. Have fun all, while I go sleep away my worries. Rofl, not that I currently have any worries.
