And we danced on the floor in the round

There are few people in the world that I trust completely, one of whom I got to hang out with for a long while on Monday/Tuesday.  Crocostimpy came up for a visit Monday night. We talked, watched Raw, watched a movie and talked some more. Around 2:00am, while we were watching Family Guy and petting my cat,  he realised that he didn't have his medications, and he had to go back to Milwaukee. We were both pretty bummed that a fantastic night had to come to an abrupt halt. He said "I need to go back, want to come to Milwaukee?" "But how will I get back?" "I'll bring you back" "Kay!"

So at 2am, I was on my way to Milwaukee. Sitting in the Lancer with Crocostimpy, talking and rocking out,  feeling the thrum of the road beneath my feet. I loved every minute of it. I felt so impulsive and reckless, leaving like that, it was awesome.

When we got to his place, we sat in his bathroom while he smoked a bowl and talked. And talked. And talked. And talked. We talked for hours upon hours about everything and anything that could cross our minds. In the years that we've known each other, we've never actually had the time to sit and talk like that. We always knew we could talk like that, but we'd always had some kind of schedule to follow. With total freedom we began to talk about things we'd never touched on before, and it flowed from there. Bowl after bowl after bowl after cigarette after cigarette after cigarette were smoked as we talked. We talked at length about our relationship and how it had transitioned from casual sex to near BFFness, he really has become one of my best friends. I had never thought that it was odd that the sex had tapered off and become something different and better.  It just seemed right.

I don't know what I've done to deserve my friends, but I'm thankful for every one of them, and I love every one of them.  Some more than others. You're one of the most amazing people I know, Crocostimpy, I hope that we can have another day or night like that again.

After the massive conversations, more bowls and more Family Guy, I returned to Madison feeling rather refreshed even though I had been up for over twenty-four hours. After Crocostimpy headed back home, I changed my clothes and went to the elementary school nearby to vote.  I don't want to talk about the election. I'm fairly disappointed that we've elected Obama and I'm completely pissed off that California passed Prop 8. Fuck you, California.

When I came back from voting, I goofed around online for a little while before going to bed. I slept off and on during a House marathon. Around 2:30pm I woke up, took a shower and crawled back into bed. Kevin called me a couple of hours later wanting to hang out as we watched state after state fall to Obama. *sigh* We survived Bush the Second, holy shit.

I'm going to go start my laundry. Hurray.
